Mr. Albert P. Hermann, MBA is currently Assistant Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship in the College of Business and Public Policy at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. He has over 35 years of financial and operations experience. His experience encompasses working at the senior management level with Fortune 500 companies and small privately-held entities. While he was the Vice President of Finance for U.S. Operations at Lanier Worldwide, Mr. Hermann was responsible for closing twenty-six acquisitions and two divestitures over an eight-year period. As the CFO of four start-up ventures, spanning several industries, he helped raise capital and built the financial and operations infrastructures for companies.
Mr. Hezekiah "Ky" R. Holland, MBA is currently Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Alaska Pacific University and also provides consulting services through Holland Consulting Company on a variety of industrial manufacturing projects. He is an experienced industrial product operations manager with 25 years of experience in a variety of industries including: mining, construction, downstream petroleum distribution, water and waste-water systems, digital X-ray NDT imaging, and industrial safety. Most recently, Mr. Holland helped organize and grow an Anchorage-based industrial digital X-ray manufacturing business for a successful sale to a Fortune 150 public company.
Katherine Jernstrom, MPA is Cofounder and CEO of The Boardroom, Alaska's first coworking space. Katherine's focus is on building community & the Alaskan entrepreneurial ecosystem by creating meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups to connect, collaborate & grow. She grew up in Seattle and Holland, but has called Alaska home since 2009. She has a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Washington and a masters in policy administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Katherine was recognized as a Top 40 under 40 in 2015.
Forrest A. Nabors, PhD is currently Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and teaches American Government and Politics. Previously, he was a co-founder of a behavioral informatics company, a co-founder of an online consumer information company, and the lead inventor for a patented online automotive bidding system. Most recently, he served on the founding executive team of Learning.com in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Nabors’s business career has mostly intersected with the high technology sector and early-stage companies. He held senior management positions in product development and sales.
Lori Davey, MBA is a local entrepreneur with experience in business startups, sales, marketing, finance, operations and selling companies in Alaska. She has worked in technology, oil field services, healthcare, and telecommunications industries in Alaska. Lifelong Alaskan from the interior town of Tok, she graduated from University of Alaska Anchorage with Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA. Serves as a business representative on the Arctic Economic Council. Awarded Top 40 Under 40 in 2009.
